In 2005, creation of the Cumulative Giving Societies was announced to recognize individuals and organizations whose gifts total one million dollars or more. The University of Georgia's Celebration of Support is the event designed to honor Cumulative Giving Society members.
The Celebration of Support is an annual black-tie event held in Atlanta. Although the event honors all Cumulative Society members, each year select members are chosen to showcase as part of the formal awards ceremony. These honorees are formally honored as part of a formal awards presentation.
The Office of Donor Relations & Stewardship keeps honorees and guests informed so that expectations are set for this event. Donor Relations works with multiple departments across campus on every aspect of the event.
