Tuscany-Cortona
From the innovations of the Etruscans to the enlightenment of the Renaissance, Tuscany has both inspired and borne witness to feats that cover the entire spectrum of human achievement. Set out to explore the region from your base in the charming village of Cortona. Journey to tiny Montepulciano, set in the heart of Chiana Country, with its quaint cafés and aromatic wine cellars. Marvel at two Umbrian jewels—the walled city of Perugia, the ancient Etruscan city-state with one of Italy’s most splendid squares; and medieval Assisi, home to the exquisite St. Francis Basilica. In Siena, enjoy a resplendent showcase of magnificent cathedrals and stunning Gothic buildings. Cruising the Classical Mediterranean
From the Renaissance art of Florence to the ancient treasures of Tunisia discover the rich traditions, colorful history and stunning natural beauty of the coasts of France, Italy, Libya and Malta while cruising aboard the deluxe Le Diamant. From Nice, cruise along the French and Italian rivieras to Livorno for a tour of the artistic glories of Florence, including Michelangelo’s immaculate statue of David. Then it’s on the historic island of Elba, the ancient city of Rome and the Italian isles of Capri, Lipari and, renowned for their magnificent beauty and fascinating history legacies. Village Life in Verona
