Class of 1954 50th Reunion
"Remembering" was the theme for the 50th reunion of the Class of 1954 when 47 alumni and spouses returned to campus April 30 - May 1 to observe a half-century celebration of their years at UGA.
Class President Don Branyon led the two-day fete that included a welcome reception, campus tours, luncheon at one of Athens area's newest restaurants, a visit to the C.L. Morehead home museum featuring the works of Lamar Dodd, and a Saturday evening social hour and dinner.
At the dinner, class members received a special Golden Anniversary medallion and shared memories of their days at UGA in a festive, humorous and nostalgic time together.
