Winters Richwine

UGA Alumni Association member Winters Richwine is a third generation UGA legacy who received his Master's degree this year in Accountancy. He was a First Honors graduate in the 2004 class.

His grandfather, Sam Richwine, Sr. '50, was trainer for the Georgia Bulldogs during the Wally Butts years, and his father, Dr. Sam Richwine, Jr. '73, is a plastic surgeon in Gainesville, Ga.

After graduation in May, Winters joined the staff of the Deloitte-Touche accounting firm in Atlanta.

While at UGA, he was in the honors program and a member of Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity. He was initiated into Sphinx in 2005. He was a member of Blue Key, involved in Relay for Life, the Dance Marathon and headed up Dawg Camp, a part of Freshman orientation. He also served as mentor at Alps Road Elementary School.

His grandmother, Doris attended UGA and his mother, Julie '73, earned both her undergraduate and Master's degrees at the University. His sister, Betsy '01, was also in the Honors program at UGA and is presently enrolled in the Medical College of Georgia.

His grandfather, Sam, left UGA in 1964 and is presently retired in Cornelia, Ga. His father, Sam Jr., attended the Medical College of Georgia following his days at UGA.
