Lowrey Legacy 
Dr. Darrell Lowrey (BS '72), an Orthopedist with the Harbin Clinic in Rome, Ga., is a member of a family that includes six UGA graduates.
Lowrey majored in Environmental Health at the University and his son, Barton, is currently a sophomore and daughter, Reagen (BBA '03), majored in Risk Management and Insurance.
In addition, he has two brothers and a sister who are alums including Dr. Robert Lowrey (BS '56), who received his degree in Animal Science and recently retired from the UGA Animal Science and Dairy Department and resides in Athens.
Another brother, Samuel Lowrey '63 received his degree in Agricultural Economics and lives in Armuchee, Ga. Their sister, Mrs. Wilburn Lee McDurmont, the former Shirley Ann Lowrey '59 graduated from the College of Family and Consumer Sciences and now lives in Smyrna, Ga.
