Arlington-Guenther Legacy

Bulldog alumni are found all over the United States, in fact, all around the world. However, there is a special nest of UGA graduates in the windy city of Chicago including the Arlington Guenther family.

Arly, '76, his son, Mike, '02, and his daughter, Laurie Ann, '05, form a dedicated trio of supporters of the red and black among the 971 UGA alumni who live in the Chicago area.

Arly, who majored in Accounting at UGA lives in Lake Forest, IL, a Chicago suburb. His wife, Karen, is a graduate of St. Mary's College in South Bend, IN. She and his children are natives of Chicago. Arly also earned an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Northwestern University.

He also has a brother Scott '81, '82, who lives in Alpharetta, GA. Their father was in the military and the Guenthers "grew up all over." He went to high school in Augusta, GA.

Arly and his wife founded Arlington Computer Products in 1984. They provide creative I/T solutions to corporate accounts involving hardware, software, and technical services. The business is located in Buffalo Grove, IL, another Chicago suburb.

Pictured is Arly, Mike and Laurie Ann dining in Europe where they found a bottle of "Bulldog Reserve."
