Members of the Jacksonville, Florida Alumni Association Chapter have made a $5,000 contribution to the UGA Alumni Association's endowed scholarship fund. This is the first ever gift by any of the Association's more than 90 Chapters and Clubs.

Chapter President and Alumni Association board member Brian Fuller says it's an honor to give back. "It was truly a labor of love, raising money for our alma mater," Fuller said.

The Chapter raised the money by serving as concession stand volunteers at The Players Championship, held at the TPC Sawgrass course near Jacksonville.

Fuller presented the check to Association Executive Director Deborah Dietzler at an event designed to celebrate Jacksonville-area freshmen headed for UGA."This is such an exciting day in the life of the UGA Alumni Association. Our Jacksonville Chapter is a prime example of what groups can do if they work together" said Dietzler.
