Dave Muia

Dave was named Special Assistant to the Athletic Director at The University of Georgia in October 2005 after serving one year as Acting Associate Athletic Director for External Operations.

A UGA graduate with a bachelors degree in Political Science and a masters in Education, Dave began his professional career at the University in 1975 as a field representative for the Georgia Alumni Society. He was promoted several times within the University's External Affairs Division and served as the Director of Development and later as Executive Director of the UGA Alumni Association, a position he held for 16 years.

Under Dave's leadership the Georgia Alumni Society evolved into the UGA Alumni Association, a dues-based organization that attracted tens of thousands of alumni members worldwide through a wide variety of program offerings.

Dave is the father of three, one a UGA graduate, one currently enrolled at UGA, and his youngest is a student-athlete at North Georgia College.
