Antarctic Adventure

When asked by friends to describe why Antarctica is one of our favorite ventures, the words "magnificent," "beautiful," "remarkable," and "unbelievable," although true, do not adequately depict our impressions of the southernmost continent. Others have said they can't describe it, that you have to see it for yourself.

The photographs in this show come closer than our words ever can.

Shimmering sunsets, marching penguins, vast tundras, blowing snow, quiet solitude, gorgeous skies, and golden icebergs surrounded us during our two week adventure.

In December, 2006 we spent 20 days traveling from Buenos Aires to Ushuaia, through the Drake Passage to Antarctica. We returned through the Drake Passage to the Chilean Fjords and on to Santiago and back home to Georgia on an expedition we will never forget.

We are happy to share our photographs of this adventure with you and hope you enjoy them half as much as we enjoyed our trip.
