Danielle Alexander joined the Alumni Association staff in December 2011. She serves as an assistant director of regional programs, working with more than 112 alumni chapters across the world. In this role, she is able to cultivate new alumni chapters, train leadership boards and assist chapters with event planning. Like many people with a master's degree in social work, she is very relationship focused and loves meeting new alumni.

Frances Beusse has served as the director of Atlanta programs since 2011. Frances focuses on signature events including the Bulldog 100, UGA Days and 40 Under 40 in addition to coordinating the Atlanta corporate chapters. Having previously worked at the UGA Office of Special Events and the Terry College of Business Office of Executive Programs, Frances has a strong background and passion for event and program management. Frances received her B.S. in Psychology and a minor in music in 2006 from the University of Georgia. Frances also has received certificates in business leadership and conference and meeting management from the University of Georgia. In her spare time, Frances enjoys playing the harp and spending time with her husband, Thomas.

Julie Cheney started her career at the UGA Office of Alumni Relations in 1999 in the membership and marketing department. After serving at the UNC Chapel Hill General Alumni Association and the American Cancer Society, Julie returned to UGA in 2007 as the assistant director of membership - student and young alumni programs. Currently, she is the assistant director of alumni relations where she leads the regional programs and student programs teams in addition to overseeing all that is produced out of the Athens alumni office.  Julie also directs the 40 Under 40 program which is the cornerstone for UGA young alumni cultivation and engagement. Her strategic outreach with student affairs, admissions, athletics and development serves to strengthen the role of, and collaborative opportunities for, alumni relations on campus.

 

Julie earned her undergraduate degree from UGA's Franklin College of Arts and Sciences in Communications Studies, M.Ed. in Organizational Development in Higher Education from the College of Education, and recently started her Ph.D. in Organizational Development in 2013. She is a graduate of L.E.A.D. Athens (2012) and serves on the Board of Directors for Nuci's Space. Previously, she has served on the boards for Hands On Northeast Georgia and the Friends of Southeast Clarke Park. Julie lives in Winterville with her husband, Jim, and two irrevocably spoiled dogs.

Wanda Darden has been the event planner for the UGA Alumni Association since 2005. Her previous work experience includes seven years at the American Heart Association where she was involved with the Heart Ball and Heart Walk events. Her responsibilities at the Alumni Association include coordinating the annual Founders Day Lecture, Dawg Trot 5K, the Alumni Awards luncheon and other alumni events.

 

Wanda is a member of the UGA Black Faculty and Staff organization and serves as an officer on the committee. She was also a member of the Leadership Oconee XII class and the University Women's Club. Her hobbies include gardening, crossword puzzles and spending time with her brother who recently retired from the United States Air Force with 25 years of service. Wanda lives in Oconee County and is married to Willie Darden. They have two children, Ryan and Ashley.

Originally from Rochester, New York, Jackie Guglietta moved to Athens to begin working with the Alumni Association in January 2013. Jackie earned her bachelor's in communications and master's in higher education and student affairs, both from colleges in Buffalo, New York. Jackie worked for Foodlink, a food bank in Rochester, where she coordinated the 2010 Savor Rochester: a Festival of Food. In the summer of 2012, Jackie interned at the Savannah College of Art and Design to plan orientation. This is where she started to fall in love with Georgia, especially the weather! Jackie enjoys being outdoors with her dogs and traveling and meeting new people, especially alumni.

Marcus Jennings joined the Alumni Association staff in the spring of 2003. Through his role as an administrative associate, he provides a number of contributions that impact alumni engagement and stewardship. Prior to his time with the Alumni Association, he spent the first two years of his UGA career managing the administrative office at the UGA Bookstore.

 

In addition to his office duties, Marcus has represented the Division of External Affairs on the University-wide Staff Council and has chaired that division's local Staff Representative Group. He has also served on several other subcommittees, all pertaining to staff rights and promotion.

Meredith Gurley Johnson has worked in higher education advancement for 11 years. Prior to joining the Office of Alumni Relations, she worked in the central development office and also served as the alumni relations coordinator for UGA's Franklin College of Arts and Sciences.

 

In 2001, Meredith moved to Atlanta to work for the UGA Alumni Association as its first Atlanta program coordinator based out of a new facility in Buckhead. Over the years, Meredith has put various signature programs into place, from alumni gatherings to Bulldog 100 to the UGA Days Tour. In late 2014, she was named executive director of alumni relations, overseeing all UGA Alumni Association engagement activities, including student programs, young alumni outreach, regional programs, communications, and collaborative projects around campus.

 

Most importantly, she is a proud 2000 graduate of UGA's College of Family and Consumer Sciences, and is currently on her way to becoming a double Dawg as she pursues a master's degree in education. As a student, Meredith was an active member of Gamma Phi Beta sorority, serving as membership vice president.

 

Meredith lives in the Atlanta suburb of Sandy Springs with her husband, two children, and golden retriever.

Tim Keadle, who has more than three decades of experience in public accounting, is a co-founder of Porter Keadle Moore, which Accounting Today has named the nation's "Best Midsized Accounting Firm to Work For." Keadle's expertise is in auditing and financial reporting for banks, and he has extensive experience working with SEC registrants. He is active in the Georgia Bankers Association (GBA) and sits on the Community Bankers Committee, which develops relevant programming for CEOs. He formerly served as the GBA Board Member representing the organization's associate members. He is also a frequent instructor and speaker for the GBA, Community Bankers Association and several Southeastern universities. Keadle earned his BBA, magna cum laude, from UGA in 1978. His two-year term as Alumni Association President began July 1, 2013. As part of his responsibilities, he also joins the boards of the University of Georgia Foundation and the University of Georgia Athletic Association.

Shea Landers join the Alumni Association staff in 2000 as business manager. She began her University of Georgia career in 1985 with the College of Family and Consumer Economics. She enjoys working with her fellow staffers to create great alumni events and getting to know numerous alumni and members of the university community.

 

Shea lives in Jefferson, Georgia, with her daughters, Renee, Jennifer and Paige.

Tanera Manuel joined the Alumni Relations staff in February 2013. As an administrative assistant, her responsibilities include compiling data for various alumni events as well as assist with the planning and execution of several Alumni Association signature events.

 

In May of 2009 she began her collegiate career at Georgia Southern University and by May 2012, she attained a bachelor's of sciences in hotel and restaurant management with a minor in business administration. As her love for the hospitality industry grew, she was also fascinated by how the University and the surrounding community merged to create a culture within itself. That same atmosphere is what drew her to work for the University of Georgia. 

 

Tanera's hobbies include reading, experimenting in the kitchen and spending time with family and friends.

Originally from Albany, Georgia, Margaret Sullivan joined the Alumni Relations Atlanta staff in October 2012. She serves as a Programs Coordinator, working specifically with the Metro Atlanta Alumni Chapter, Women of UGA, Dawgs on the Move, and Young Alumni members. She also plays a role in planning and staffing Alumni Association signature events. As a Double Dawg, Margaret graduated in 2011 from the University of Georgia, earning a BSFCS in consumer journalism with a focus on child and family development and public relations, and in 2012 with master's in nonprofit management.

 

Hailing from an avid bunch of Bulldogs, Margaret is the twelfth member of her family to attend UGA and spent much of her childhood visiting Athens. With a deep-rooted love for UGA, dedicating her career to the university seems natural! Margaret loves to travel, spend time with her family and friends, and get to know others-both personally and professionally.

Evan has served as the assistant director of student programs since May of 2012 where he coordinates student philanthropy efforts and advises the UGA Alumni Association's student organization, the Student Alumni Council (SAC). Along with SAC, he oversees the programs and events of the Student Alumni Association (SAA) including UGA's senior gift campaign, Senior Signature.

 

Although his family has deep ties to Southeastern Conference rival LSU, Evan has long pledged his allegiance to UGA where he received his bachelor's degree in education and a master's degree in international relations and political science.

 

Evan can often be seen jogging through UGA's scenic campus with his wife Linnea as they train for their next footrace.

Realenn is a native of Lithonia, Georgia, a Chamblee High School graduate and the second Bulldog in her family. Realenn earned her sociology degree from UGA in December 2004 and began working as an event coordinator with the UGA Atlanta Alumni Center in October 2007. As an Atlanta program coordinator, she enjoys working alongside the Metro Atlanta Alumni Chapter, Multicultural Programs, UGA Alumni Educator Appreciation Program, undergraduate admissions alumni representative programs and supporting signature programs.

 

Realenn enjoys learning and recently earned her CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) from the Convention Industry Council, as well as a UGA Diversity and Inclusion Certificate. In her spare time she is presiding partner in her investment club, enjoys reading books, discovering new music and spending time with family.

Originally from Canada, Ryan has lived in Georgia since he moved to Alpharetta as a toddler. Ryan graduated from UGA in December 2013 with a bachelor's degree in exercise and sport science and a minor in cellular biology.

In August 2014, Ryan began working toward a master's degree in public health. In addition to working as a graduate assistant for the Office of Alumni Relations, Ryan serves as a student liaison at Athens' Mercy Health Center and a lead coordinator for the Medical Reserve Corps Unit at UGA.

In his spare time, Ryan enjoys playing hockey and basketball with his friends in Athens.

Bethany Bagley joined the UGA Career Center staff in June 2010. Before being named director of alumni career services, she was a UGA Career Center career consultant for the College of Education, undecided students and students in fine and performing arts. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and is certified in the Strong Interest Inventory and the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. Her knowledge and skill set includes career counseling and exploration, career assessments, teaching/presentations, job search strategies, networking, employer relations, supervising, and training student interns and new staff members.


Bethany finds joy in helping UGA alumni and students navigate the career exploration process and providing the resources to help them reach success. She is a graduate of Mississippi State University where she earned her Master of Science in Counselor Education and her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry Education.

Natalie comes to UGA from the University of South Florida, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She is currently enrolled in UGA's College Student Affairs Administration program, pursuing her M.Ed. As the Graduate Assistant for Student Programs, Natalie's responsibilities include working with the Student Alumni Council (SAC) and the UGA Alumni Association to aid in the planning and execution of various events and programs.

 

Natalie's hobbies include listening to live music, watching scary movies, and traveling (though she's never been out of the United States). A Florida native, she also enjoys going to the beach and traversing through theme parks.

Martina Tryman joined the Office of Alumni Relations in April 2014. As an administrative associate, her responsibilities include providing administrative support for the executive director and program staff, managing meeting logistics for staff members, and representing the Office of Alumni Relations over the phone and in the reception area.

 

Martina was born and raised in Mississippi. She earned a bachelor's degree in political science and a Master of Public Policy and Administration from Mississippi State University.

 

In her spare time, Martina enjoys reading, baking and cheering for her favorite athletic teams.
