With these awards, the Alumni Association expresses its deep appreciation and admiration to people who – through their service, contributions and accomplishments – bring distinction and honor to the University of Georgia and our state, nation and world.

This year, we are proud to present the Faculty Service Award to Gordhan Patel and the Alumni Merit Award to Jack Rooker (BBA '60) and Norman Fletcher (AB '56, JD '58). Cheer on the UGA men's and women's basketball teams in their home openers! The men's basketball team will be facing off against Jacksonville on November 9 at 7:00 PM. The women's basketball team will be playing Rutgers on November 11 at 2:00 PM.

Enjoy unlimited food and beverages while celebrating with other Dawg Fans before Mizzou’s first SEC game. Enjoy the center of Mizzou's Campus and then follow the crowd to Memorial Stadium for the 6:45 p.m. kick off. If you don't have tickets to the game, you can stroll to nearby Downtown Columbia. Let's paint Mizzou red and black!

Tickets are $40, which includes unlimited tailgate food, beverages, and a full bar. Seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. If you would like to reserve seating for your group, you may purchase a table, which includes admission to the tailgate and a table of 10.

The tailgate menu includes hotdogs with coleslaw on hoagies, pesto pasta salad, potato salad, gourmet nacho station, soft salted pretzel bites with cheese dipping sauce, fried buffalo wings, Reuben dip, vegetable display with dill dip and assorted desserts. Beverages include iced tea, water, lemonade, soda, and a full bar.

Please Note: You will receive a wristband at the check-in table on September 8. You can enter and re-enter with this wristband. Seating is not guaranteed unless a table is purchased. Online registration closes Tuesday, September 4. This event will be held in rain or shine. If space is available, walk-up admission will be $50.

Send the UGA Class of 2016 off to Athens in style! Richard and Leigh Ann Greenberg '83 have graciously offered to host a Freshmen Send Off reception for incoming area UGA students and their families. All the fun starts at 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 22. Alumni will be on hand to answer questions about UGA, reminisce about their college days, and even do a Georgia cheer or two.

Come on out and celebrate the newest members of the UGA family. Don't forget to wear your red and black!
