Come cheer on our UGA Women's Gymnastics Team as it competes in the 2013 NCAA Championships at UCLA's Pauley Pavilion on April 19 to 21. This is a unique opportunity to share in the long-standing tradition of excellence embodied by our Lady Dogs ... in our own backyard! Don't miss the chance to cheer for the team in person when they come to Los Angeles in their quest for another national championship!

Sunday, April 21
1:00 p.m. - Individual Event Finals

On Sunday, July 22, 2012, members of the Southern California and San Diego Chapters of the UGA Alumni Association joined 62 fellow SEC alumni from Tennessee, Alabama, Auburn, LSU and Texas A&M at the SEC Annual Picnic, hosted by the Tennessee Alumni Association.  Georgia alumni from around Southern California had the chance to mix and mingle with their SEC cousins in a relaxed and beautiful environment, while exchanging good-natured cajoling and predictions for the upcoming football season.  Regional events like this one truly show the dedication of our chapter members to representing the University of Georgia in a positive light, and highlight the overall camaraderie inherent to the SEC. 

 This intercollegiate alumni gathering has been an annual mainstay in Orange County for over 20 years. We certainly look forward to participating next year and invite all Southern California regional alumni to join us next year.  July 28, 2013 – save the date!

The Leadership Committee of your UGA Alumni Chapter is continuously striving to improve our ability to reach out to you and to ensure that our activities and events are accessible to you.  To facilitate that, we want your input.  The college football season has already begun, but there's still a long season ahead.  This is the first year that the Chapter has agreed, if the demand continues to rise, to establish two formally-organized game watching locations: One in Los Angeles, and one in Orange County.  For the Boise State game, there were almost 30 OC Dawgs who watched the game together.  But we may not have gotten the word out to everyone due to previous communication limitations.  So this is our call to arms!  If you are interested in attending game-watching events with other UGA alum in Orange County and cheering every Gameday Saturday with other Bulldog faithful in your area, please contact Mark DelRosaro (mark@delrosario-law.com) immediately to make sure that you have a spot to call your own for the Ole Miss game this Saturday.

Southern California UGA Alumni Chapter

Can you think of a better way to relieve stress at the end of a long day than to gather with fellow members of the Bulldog Nation that live in Southern California? The SoCal chapter of the UGA Alumni Association agrees there isn’t much that can beat it!

Therefore, the chapter is hosting a Bulldogs After Business Hours on Wednesday, May 15 at SOUTH in Santa Monica. There will be a special reserved section for UGA alumni and friends from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., so don your favorite red and black attire and plan to attend!

Join Southern California UGA alumni as we cheer the Dawgs on to victory against the Alabama Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship Game and, hopefully, for a spot in the BCS National Championship! The Southern California Chapter will descend upon Gasser Lounge in Redondo Beach for the second year in a row for this special event. Gasser Lounge is owned and run by alum Mike Bouchard ’03 and will again showcase its red and black ties along with expanded seating and TVs! Food and beverage specials, along with catering, will be provided. Look for the big Georgia flag waving from the rooftop, and we will see you Saturday!

Join Southern California UGA alumni as we cheer the Dawgs on to victory against the Georgia Southern Eagles at Gasser Lounge, Tap House HB, and the brand new Spoonful (formerly Henry's Hat)! This will be a great opportunity to connect with fellow UGA graduates while enjoying great food, fun and football. We hope to see you there!

Note that because we are celebrating the opening of Spoonful, we will not be watching the game at Barney's Beanery this weekend. Instead, all Metro LA Dawgs should head to Spoonful to enjoy the festivities!
