Hey Everyone,

Just a few updates on our San Diego Chapter.

First, I want to remind you all to come out on Saturdays for game watching parties. Join us at PB Bar and Grill. They will have beverage and food specials--look for the Georgia banner.

Now, I'd like to introduce myself and explain why you're getting this message from me. I'm Diantha LaVine ’03--I've met some of you at our local game watching. My husband, David LaVine ’03, and I  moved out here 3 years ago. I'm hoping to get this chapter more active and am interested in being the president. To that end, I met with our Alumini Office in Athens. They are very supportive of our activities and will help us get this chapter moving! So, in early December (date to be discussed), we will have a chapter leadership interest meeting. If you'd like to be involved with planning events and guiding the chapter, please let me know, and I will keep you in the loop. Join the San Diego Chapter of the UGA Alumni Association for a Spring Social at the San Diego Mission Bay Boat & Ski Club. Bring your friends and family for an afternoon of BBQ, lawn games, and Bulldog fun.

Don't wait to RSVP! We are limited to 50 people, so be sure to register for your spot. The $6 registration fee will cover your entrance, food, and non-alcoholic beverages. Additional beverages will be available for purchase at the venue.

Join us for a fun and informative weekend in Athens. We look forward to seeing you in 2013!

Enjoy unlimited food and beverages while celebrating with other Dawg Fans before Mizzou’s first SEC game. Enjoy the center of Mizzou's Campus and then follow the crowd to Memorial Stadium for the 6:45 p.m. kick off. If you don't have tickets to the game, you can stroll to nearby Downtown Columbia. Let's paint Mizzou red and black!

Tickets are $40, which includes unlimited tailgate food, beverages, and a full bar. Seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. If you would like to reserve seating for your group, you may purchase a table, which includes admission to the tailgate and a table of 10.

The tailgate menu includes hotdogs with coleslaw on hoagies, pesto pasta salad, potato salad, gourmet nacho station, soft salted pretzel bites with cheese dipping sauce, fried buffalo wings, Reuben dip, vegetable display with dill dip and assorted desserts. Beverages include iced tea, water, lemonade, soda, and a full bar.

Please Note: You will receive a wristband at the check-in table on September 8. You can enter and re-enter with this wristband. Seating is not guaranteed unless a table is purchased. Online registration closes Tuesday, September 4. This event will be held in rain or shine. If space is available, walk-up admission will be $50.

Alumni Leadership Assembly is a weekend filled with opportunities to learn more about UGA, tour new facilities on campus, and spend time with students and other chapter leaders. This weekend of education and training is open to all volunteers who are involved with UGA Alumni Chapters. Not only will you leave the assembly better prepared to take your chapter to the next level, but you will also make new friends.
