Once again, it’s time for the annual UGA Young Alumni Gathering at SweetWater Brewing Company! If you are a recent graduate or simply haven’t attended this event in the past, you are in for a treat. Each year, more than 200 young alumni gather together to enjoy live music, appetizers and unlimited beer tastings at one of Atlanta’s top breweries.

The UGA Alumni Association is proud to present the Faculty Service and Alumni Merit awards.

With these awards, the Alumni Association expresses its deep appreciation and admiration to people who – through their service, contributions and accomplishments – bring distinction and honor to the University of Georgia and our state, nation and world.

This year, we are proud to present the Faculty Service Award to Gordhan Patel and the Alumni Merit Award to Jack Rooker (BBA '60) and Norman Fletcher (AB '56, JD '58). Once again we are lucky to have a group of UGA IMPACT students visiting Mobile. IMPACT is a program for students who choose to do community service during their spring break. To welcome them to our area, we will be hosting these students for a dinner. Those of you who have helped out in previous years know what a joy it is to meet these young people.

This year we will be hosting them at Baumhower's Wings in Mobile on Wednesday, March 13 at 5:30 p.m.

The IMPACT group consists of 18 students and two site leaders who will be working in the Gulf Shores/Foley area. They will also be in Mobile for two days working at the Refugee Resettlement Center.

Cheer on the UGA men's and women's basketball teams in their home openers! The men's basketball team will be facing off against Jacksonville on November 9 at 7:00 PM. The women's basketball team will be playing Rutgers on November 11 at 2:00 PM.
