In preparation for the UGA Alumni Career Fair on June 5, UGA Career Consultants will be holding a resume clinic for the Atlanta area. No appointment or registration is necessary. Consultations will last 10-15 minutes on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Metro Atlanta Alumni Chapter is hosting a Braves Game Night Out. Please join us for a meet and greet on the Club Patio at the stadium two hours prior to first pitch at 7:35 pm. There will be a cash bar and a drawing for UGA giveaways.

The UGA Alumni Association Metro Atlanta Chapter has adopted a quarter-mile section of the Atlanta Beltline in partnership with Myers Carpet and Manchel, Wiggins & Kaye, LLP. Come help clear debris and pull invasive species of plants to make a direct impact on maintaining green space.

UGA alumni and friends are welcome to bring their kids (12 and older). All volunteers will need to wear closed-toe shoes and bring gardening gloves (if they have them). We will meet at the end of the parking lot at Park Tavern.

We are thrilled to announce the 3rd annual Suits & Sneakers Gala, an extraordinary event that raises money to help more than 10 million people living with cancer today. The event takes place on Saturday, August 18th at UGA's beautiful Stegeman Coliseum. For more information about Suits & Sneakers, please check out their Facebook page.

Suits & Sneakers is inspired by Coaches vs. Cancer, a non-profit collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Organization of Basketball Coaches. Coaches around the nation come together one weekend each season by wearing sneakers with their suits while they coach to demonstrate their support for cancer prevention, research and awareness.

On March 20, we had our “Calling All Dawgs” event. It was exciting to talk with some of the many alumni who are interested in taking an active role in building our chapter. We are looking forward to putting next year’s leadership in place over the next couple of months.

For those unable to make the meeting, there is still time to let us know of your interest in becoming active in the chapter. Please join us at one of our next events, and we will get you connected with our different committees to help you find your fit.

In addition to Keys to the Dawg House, and Bulldogs After Business Hours events, we have a wonderful opportunity for graduates to return to Athens and participate in a project to beautify one of the main areas of campus. On May 5, the Metro Atlanta and Athens Chapters are joining forces to clean up Tanyard Creek. Tanyard Creek is adjacent to the Tate Student Center and Sanford Stadium.
