The Metro Atlanta Chapter has adopted the East Side Trail segment of the Atlanta BeltLine and needs your help to make it beautiful! This volunteer project will involve removing trash and invasive plant species from the site. We will also put the final touches on the mulch project we started at the May clean up.

Clean-up will end between noon and 1:00 p.m., depending on the number of volunteers participating. Water and light snacks will be provided. Please bring work gloves if you have them!

What is the Atlanta BeltLine? From the Atlanta BeltLine website:
This sustainable project is providing a network of public parks, multi-use trails and transit by reusing 22 miles of historic railroad corridors circling downtown and connecting 45 neighborhoods to each other.

*We will meet at the entrance of Park Tavern's gravel parking lot promptly at 9:45 a.m. to begin our service on time at 10 a.m.

The official start to summer is underway and what better way to kick it off than a gathering at Tin Lizz's? Join the UGA Metro Atlanta Alumni Chapter to network, socialize, and celebrate! Thanks to great alumni (like you), over 2,000 text votes helped the chapter win the Atlanta BeltLine 10K Tailgate Challenge this past December. The prize is an alumni gathering at the Tin Lizzy's location of the chapter's choice.

UGA Day is coming to Gwinnett County! Join Gwinnett County-area UGA alumni and friends for a special event dedicated to all things UGA. Get the inside scoop on the Georgia Bulldogs' upcoming seasons, hear the latest news from the university, and learn more about how to get involved with other local UGA alumni. UGA Day is a very special opportunity for alumni and friends to come together to show Gwinnett County that we are proud to say, "UGA!"

Greetings Atlanta Bulldogs!

On March 20, we had our “Calling All Dawgs” event. It was exciting to talk with some of the many alumni who are interested in taking an active role in building our chapter. We are looking forward to putting next year’s leadership in place over the next couple of months.

For those unable to make the meeting, there is still time to let us know of your interest in becoming active in the chapter. Please join us at one of our next events, and we will get you connected with our different committees to help you find your fit.

In addition to Keys to the Dawg House, and Bulldogs After Business Hours events, we have a wonderful opportunity for graduates to return to Athens and participate in a project to beautify one of the main areas of campus. On May 5, the Metro Atlanta and Athens Chapters are joining forces to clean up Tanyard Creek. Tanyard Creek is adjacent to the Tate Student Center and Sanford Stadium. Join fellow UGA Young Alumni in the Metro Atlanta area as they focus on fitness and get in shape for spring! Graduates and friends will be led in this special Hobnail Boot Camp by STATUS Athletic Club owner and CEO Joey Dillon and his incredible team of personal and group trainers. For the first portion of the event, everyone will be placed into small groups that will rotate to each trainer for a different exercise. During the second half of the boot camp, there will be a "mind over matter" competition.
