The Dallas-Fort Worth Chapter has had several exciting changes take place during the last month. In late February, Danielle Alexander (MSW ’11) from the UGA Alumni Association’s regional program team came to Dallas to welcome new leadership and help lead the first Bulldogs After Business Hours of 2013. On February 28, more than a dozen UGA alumni got together at Gloria's Uptown at the first Bulldogs After Business Hours event of 2013. The leadership team enjoyed meeting fellow Dallas-area Bulldogs and sharing the news that UGA Day will be coming to Dallas on April 11. Registration for the event will be sent out shortly. We appreciate the numerous emails we have received from alumni in DFW who are willing to volunteer their time that evening.

DFW young alumni, are you ready for another Bulldogs After Business Hours? This month's after-work gathering will be held at Barcadia in the Knox-Henderson part of town – it’s a special “Barcadia’s After Business Hours!”

Whether you are a new DFW Dawg, a long-time Metroplex resident or returning home for summer break, Bulldogs After Business Hours are fun events that allow you to meet fellow UGA alumni and friends – and they are free to attend!

Join the Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter of the UGA Alumni Association for the 2013 Strut Your Mutt event to fight animal cruelty. We will be participating in the Texas SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) 75th Anniversary Celebration, which offers several fun activities for the whole family.

This year's SPCA anniversary celebration includes both a family- and pet-friendly 3K job and a timed 5K run. The DFW Chapter will participate in the 3K Dog Walk, but individuals are welcome to run the 5K if they prefer.

Enjoy delicious food in the Hos-PAW-tality Area, cheer on four-legged champs at the agility course, or just bring the family out for a good time among fellow alumni and friends.

All proceeds go toward raising $200,000 for the SPCA of Texas and their life-saving rescue shelter programs. Show the Dallas/Fort Worth area your Bulldog spirit and register today! See you then!

Join the Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter of the UGA Alumni Association and DFW SEC Fans for an April SEC Bulldogs After Business Hours! The DFW Chapter will be co-hosting this special gathering with local Ole Miss alumni.

Park Tavern will be offering special prices on food and beverages until 9 p.m. and each attendee will be eligible to win one of three $10 gift card door prizes to Mockingbird Taproom.
