UGA Day will return to Charlotte on Wednesday, May 9! President Adams, Coach Mark Richt, and Coach Mark Fox will be attending. This was the BIG Event in 2011 we all hoped to have in Charlotte for many years. We had more than 400 Bulldogs in attendance last year and we're looking for many more to attend in 2012. Watch your email for specifics on this great event!
Cystic Fibrosis Great Strides is Saturday, May 19. Come join us and volunteer to help support this very important activity by working the event or joining a team of Dawg walkers taking steps to cure Cystic Fibrosis. There will be more details soon.
Habitat for Humanity – We will get back involved with this great organization to help build homes for those who need them.
We hope you will find the time to join us at one or more of these to network with your Georgia Bulldog Family! Your input is always welcome. Please contact us if you have other events, activities, or outings you would like the Charlotte Chapter to consider. We are also looking for volunteers to assist the Executive Council in making our chapter the best and most active within the UGA Alumni Association.
I look forward to seeing you all soon. Go Dawgs!!!!

12.19.2011 Charlotte Bi-Weekly Update 12.19.11
Happy Holidays!!
I wish all of you and your families a safe and healthy Holiday Season.
The Georgia Bulldogs have had a terrific season this year! We still have one more game to go vs Michigan State University on January 2nd @ 1:00pm in the Outback Bowl. Not only are we playing to finish this great season on a positive note and setting the course for an even better 2012 season, we are playing to continue the dominance of the SEC against the Big Ten. This should be a very competitive football game so the Dawgs need our support. The Michigan State alumni and friends will also be at the Dilworth Neighborhood Grille for the bowl game to cheer on their Spartans.
In addition, the alumni and friends of Michigan State Charlotte Chapter have challenged the UGA Alumni Association Charlotte Chapter to a food drive at the game watching party. Please bring non-perishable foods to benefit the Second Harvest Foodbank of Metrolina. The management of Dilworth Neighborhood Grille has agreed to award a monetary prize to the alumni chapter that brings in the most food for the Food Drive.
Go Dawgs!!

Dear fellow Alums,
Beginning with this update, I will be updating you on a biweekly basis on your Chapter Executive Council’s activities and the future Charlotte Chapter events, outings, and activities. So here we go!
The Charlotte EC is a vibrant and diverse group. Jen Wu, Holt Parham, Todd Rose, Charles Watson, and Sandy Pasek joined me on the EC late 2010. They have worked hard for you in the planning and execution of the events we all enjoyed during the first nine months of this year. We have recently added four new members to the EC, Mark Mahoney, Abby Polak, Beth Blickenstaff, and Paul Hoffman, to bring even more new ideas and energy to your EC to insure your Chapter continues to build on its current momentum and we continue to thrive. We can only grow as a Chapter with input from you.
We will communicate with you primarily through E-mail, Facebook, and the UGA Alumni / Charlotte Chapter website. The Facebook page is titled “University of Georgia Charlotte Area Alumni and Friends”.
