and Women of UGA invite you to a
Parenting Series with
Whitney Nevins, M.A.MFT, LAPC
Raising a child is one of life’s most important tasks. Although it is full of love, it can bring challenges for both parents and children. After years of study, UGA alumna Whitney Nevins, M.A.MFT, LAPC (AB '06, BS ’06) has become an expert in effective parenting as children and adolescents face the difficulties of an ever-changing world.

Please join Women of UGA for the final session of a five-part parenting series hosted by Whitney. This final session is titled "Anxiety, Stress, and Coping: How to Help Your Kids Handle Today's Pressure-Filled World." The discussion will teach parents how to deal with the issues that children and adolescents face with stress and anxiety. Lunch will be included!

School counselors cite anxiety as a common issue for students. Whether generalized, social, performance or test anxiety, pressure affects kids in various ways. As parents, it is important to be educated on how to help kids cope with life stressors, set healthy boundaries with their time and energy and get support when needed. Part V of the parenting series will help parents navigate these pressures and learn helpful coping techniques.
