and Women of UGA invite you to the
Part One: Parenting Series with Whitney Nevins, MA. MFT, LAPC
Raising a child is one of life’s most important tasks. Although it is full of love, it can bring challenges for both parents and children. After years of study, UGA alumna Whitney Nevins, MA. MFT, LAPC (AB '06, BS ’06) has become an expert in effective parenting as children and adolescents face the difficulties of an ever-changing world.

Please join Women of UGA for this new 5-part parenting series hosted by Whitney. Each session will focus on a different issue that affects parenting. The discussions will help parents learn how to deal with the issues that children and adolescents face.

Part I: Wednesday, October 2
Communication and Boundaries:

Part one of this series will focus on the tricky business of communicating with your kids. The group will discuss how to set loving and healthy boundaries that encourage kids to feel like they can talk to you, while still making it clear that you are their parent, not their friend. Whitney will share concepts and techniques that will hopefully open the lines of communication.
