University of Georgia alumni artists kicked off the 4th Annual UGA Alumni Art Showcase with an opening in August at the Winsor Gallery off the picturesque McDonough town square. The show has been extended - now on view through October 27 at The Winsor Gallery, 34 Macon Street, McDonough.
Moving News! The UGA Art Show soon travels from the Winsor Gallery to The NEST (The Norcross Arts Center) in Norcross; the beautifully renovated Victorian is now home to the Norcross Arts Alliance. The NEST has additional room for new entries and new media to be accepted.
Please join us for the Opening Reception from 6-9 pm, Friday Nov. 2. The public is invited to meet the participating artists and learn about their work while enjoying light refreshments. The work will be on display Nov. 2 - Dec. 7, 2012. Co-sponsors are the UGA Alumni Association Metro Atlanta Chapter, the UGA Lamar Dodd School of Art, and the Norcross Arts Alliance. CALL FOR ENTRIES: University of Georgia alumni artists residing in the Metro Atlanta area, 21 years and older, are eligible to submit original paintings, pastels, watercolors, mixed media, textiles, photography, and 3D. Only original artwork, conceived and created by the entrant without instructional assistance within the last 2 years and suitable for viewing by all audiences will be considered.
