The UGA Alumni Association invites you to the |
| Faculty and Staff Authors Reception |
| |
The UGA Alumni Association and the UGA Bookstore will host the tenth annual Faculty and Staff Authors Reception. While enjoying light refreshments, members of the university community can discuss books with the authors themselves.
Faculty and Staff Authors who have published a book within the past 24 months should contact the UGA Bookstore by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 10 in order for their book to be a part of the display at the reception. Even if a recent publication is already in stock in the faculty author section, please email the bookstore with a reminder of the publication date, and it will be displayed at the reception.
The bookstore would like to have copies of faculty and staff authors’ books available in store for purchase as well, even if they aren’t new publications. Contact Jonathan Hall, General Books Manager at ugabookstore@gmail.com . The bookstore will order the books and make sure there are copies in stock for the reception. When authors submit information about their work, they should include the ISBN and publisher information as well as the university department for which they work.
This year’s reception is free to attend and no registration is required.
**This is an official “Blue Card” program. The Franklin College of Arts & Sciences Cultural & Academic Events Program, or “Blue Card” program for short, offers Franklin College students the opportunity to participate in educational experiences beyond the classroom.**
