The UGA Alumni Association
Metro Atlanta Chapter invites you to the
Atlanta BeltLine Eastside 10K and College Alumni Tailgate Challenge
The Metro Atlanta Chapter of the UGA Alumni Association invites you to join its team for the Atlanta BeltLine Eastside 10K on Saturday, December 7. UGA alumni and friends can get involved in one of two ways: (1) run in the race or (2) cheer on runners from the UGA Alumni Association tent and participate in the race's College Alumni Tailgate Challenge.

The Atlanta BeltLine Eastside 10K is a run/walk showcasing the new Eastside Trail of the BeltLine that winds through Inman Park, Midtown, Old Fourth Ward, Poncey Highland and the Virginia Highlands. Runners will pass by Historic Fourth Ward Park and Skate Park, take in the beautiful vistas of downtown and midtown Atlanta, travel an off-road stretch of the Atlanta BeltLine corridor, and enjoy a jaunt through Piedmont Park. An added bonus: runners will also travel along the portion of the BeltLine that the Metro Atlanta Chapter has adopted. Be sure to look for the "Run, Dawgs, Run" sign near the Park Drive Bridge!

In addition to the race, the BeltLine will also host a College Alumni Tailgate Challenge to determine which alumni base boasts the most school spirit. The 10K will thus be transformed into a 6-mile tailgate party! So, plan to gather with fellow alumni and friends - all dressed in red and black - to cheer on runners along the route. There is no cost to attend the festivities as a non-runner and you'll be able to enjoy live music, free food and beverages from various vendors courtesy of the Atlanta BeltLine.

If you would like to join the Metro Atlanta Chapter Team as a runner, please register here.

The registration fee is $40 per person. Don't forget to select the UGA Alumni Association as your team! Runners with dogs and strollers are invited to participate.

More information about the race can be found here.

If you'd like to join the Chapter to cheer for runners and participate in the College Alumni Tailgate Challenge, please click the "REGISTER" button below and complete the online registration form.

Volunteers should report to the red and black UGA tent near the entrance to The Stove Works on Krog Street (directly across from Tulane University's alumni tent). Volunteers should plan to arrive at 9:00 a.m. Please remember to wear your red and black and come ready to cheer on the runners!

Dawgs on the Move

This is an official DAWGS ON THE MOVE event.
