The UGA Alumni Association
and the Emeriti Scholars present the
2014 Founders Day Lecture
In observance of the University of Georgia's 229th anniversary as the country's first state-chartered institution of higher learning, Dr. Loch Johnson will present the 12th annual Founders Day Lecture. His address will be titled "Accountability in the Shadowy World of Intelligence." Third-year Foundation Fellow Megan White will offer the student response.

The public is invited to this historic occasion. There is no cost to attend.

The annual Founders Day Lecture recognizes the date UGA was established. In 1785, the Georgia General Assembly adopted a charter creating the university as the nation's first state-chartered institution of higher learning.

The Founders Day Lecture is sponsored by the UGA Alumni Association and the Emeriti Scholars, a group of retired faculty members known for their teaching abilities and continued involvement in the university's academic life.
