Frequently Asked Questions

What is Group Travel?

Group travel involves traveling with people sharing similar interests and a common bond in UGA. All details are taken care of for you. Your lodging is guaranteed; your luggage is handled, assuming it is appropriately identified; all of your travel details are taken care for you. Many of our programs offer special experiences, which would be difficult for you to arrange on your own.

Group travel includes many advantages such as security and companionship, but may also be subject to minor changes, delays or mishaps that can occur in any kind of travel, whether group or individual. While Association and tour operator management will do their best to see to the individual needs of travelers, their principal concern must be the welfare of the group as a whole.

What Happens If I Have To Cancel My Trip?

All confirmed passengers receive travel insurance information from the travel companies - it's one of our many membership benefits! The insurance is optional but it may be worth the investment, especially if you find you have to cancel the trip unexpectedly. Also, it is a good idea to check with your medical insurance company to determine whether you are covered outside the US.

We strongly recommend that you look into insurance carefully.

Note: Coverage for preexisting medical conditions, terrorist incidents and travel supplier financial insolvencies will be provided if the insurance is purchased within 14 days of your trip payment. Please read the insurance brochure carefully.
