What is the Student Alumni Association (SAA)?

SAA is an association for students to engage with alumni while taking part in the spirit, history, and tradition of the University of Georgia . Programs and events such as Dinner with a Dozen Dawgs, the G Book, Ring Days, BEAT-Shirt giveaways, and Commencement activities are coordinated by and for SAA participants.

How do I become a part of SAA?

Make your donation to the Georgia Fund today HERE! Annual charitable gifts qualify students to take part in the myriad of programs and opportunities offered. These gifts, combined with additional support from alumni and friends, help to engage students in activities which enhance UGA experiences and build lasting traditions.

Why should I give to UGA and be a part of the Student Alumni Association?

Simply put -- why should you not? Being a part of SAA is a wonderfully unique way to make a strong connection to your university (and future alma mater) early. Events and programs will connect you with alumni from all over the world. We still have our freebies and awesome giveaways, but we're also here to get you ready for life after UGA, you know -- the rest of your life!

Giving to your alma mater is very important. Student Alumni Association participants know that UGA is already one of the biggest influences in their lives. Ensuring that culture, community and tradition for generations to come starts now.

Tell me more about Senior Signature.

Will you soon be graduating from UGA? Senior Signature is the annual class-giving campaign that begins each academic year and culminates in the unveiling of the Senior Signature plaque - bearing the name of each donor - just before Spring Commencement. The plaques are erected in the walls of Tate Plaza and will remain forever so that graduates can return and show their names to spouses, family and loved ones and reminisce of their days on campus. Click HERE to learn more.

So I made my gift to SAA. Now what?

Great! You should receive an email confirmation from the University shortly after your gift is processed. After that, you will receive an email from us acknowledging that you are now a part of SAA, and you will be added to our listserv so that you get the inside scoop on all of our upcoming programs, events, and giveaways. If you didn't receive your SAA shirt, you can swing by the Wray-Nicholson House anytime Monday through Friday during business hours to pick it up.

I made my SAA gift, but I haven't received an email or been placed on the listserv. What's up?

Sorry for the brief delay! It usually takes about one week for your gift to be processed and to be added to the listserv. If you have any questions about this process, or it has been longer than a week, feel free to send us an email at saa@uga.edu.

I didn't get my G Book at Freshman Welcome. How can I get one?

No problem! Come by the Wray-Nicholson House anytime Monday through Friday during regular business hours and we will make sure you get one! If you are a second-year or above, we also have previous editions of the G Book which pertain to your first year at UGA.
