What is membership?
The UGA Alumni Association is a dues based membership organization. Membership establishes a direct link between the University and those who are passionate about UGA and the Association's mission to proudly support the academic excellence, best interests and traditions of Georgia's flagship University and its alumni worldwide.

How do I become a member?
Becoming a member is easy! Use our secure server to join online, call 1-800-606-8786 to join by telephone, or e-mail the Membership Services Team at alummshp@uga.edu to request an application by mail.

All members receive an automobile decal and membership card. Please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery.

What types of membership do you offer?
The Association offers individual and joint options for annual and life memberships. We offer several convenient payment options including 3-year annual memberships, life membership installment plans (credit card and electronic transfer are available), and annual membership automatic renewals via credit card. We also offer special memberships for students.

Are membership dues tax deductible?
The Association and University do not consider membership dues charitable contributions for tax deductibility.

I just wrote a check to the Georgia Fund. This means I've paid my Alumni Association dues, right?
We strongly encourage you to support the Georgia Fund in addition to maintaining your UGA Alumni Association membership, as both work to advance UGA. However, the Georgia Fund and the Association are separate entities. Making a tax deductible gift to the Georgia Fund does not mean you have joined the Association. Our many programs and services are funded entirely by dues paid by our active members. If you do not have a current UGA Alumni Association membership card, your membership is likely inactive. Please call 1-800-606-8786 or e-mail alummshp@uga.edu with questions regarding your membership status.

What level of involvement is needed to be a member?
By joining the Association, you are showing your pride for UGA. You may decide to volunteer as a local Chapter or Club leader, help with student recruitment or become a regular attendee at Association events. Your level of involvement is up to you!

How does the Alumni Association serve alumni?
The Association works diligently to keep UGA graduates informed and involved. We publish a monthly e-newsletter, provide networking, career, and professional opportunities, organize engaging programs and special events that bring alumni together, and promote pride and spirit for UGA. Wherever you are, the Association is your gateway to the University of Georgia.

Association membership offers exclusive invitations to events throughout the Bulldog Nation as well as a variety of local and national discounts (click here for a complete list of Bulldog Benefits).

Membership dues are necessary to fund Association programs, activities, communications and various academic support initiatives like the Association's support fund for campus organizations, scholarships and fellowships. By doing your part as a passionate Bulldog, you can ensure UGA continues as a strong University for generations to come.

Does my UGA Alumni Association membership automatically make me a member of my local alumni chapter or club?
As an alumnus or alumna, you are an automatic member of your local Association Chapter or Club, but we need your membership dues to continue to grow and strengthen this powerful network! To find a Chapter or Club near you, please click here.

Association membership dues make alumni programs in your local area possible. These dues allow the Association to make each event successful and well-attended by providing invitations, supplies and staff support.

I am not a graduate of the University of Georgia. Am I permitted to join the Alumni Association?
Yes. The Association welcomes all who love UGA and wish to see UGA prosper and grow in reputation.

How does my membership assist current UGA students?
Membership dues help strengthen and support a growing list of exceptional UGA student programs and leadership opportunities like the Student Alumni Association (SAA). Student members network with alumni and fellow students, attend Association events and access the UGA Online Community. In addition, membership dues are used to fund the Association's scholarships, fellowships and support for campus organizations. To learn more about our Student Programs, please click here.

As a member of the Alumni Association, will I have priority in buying football tickets?
The UGA Athletic Association oversees Athletic ticket distribution. The Association has no involvement in ticket sales or priority. When made available to the Association, we offer members opportunities to purchase football tickets or tickets to other sporting events.

I think I am already a member of the Alumni Association. How do I find out if my membership is current?
