Member Support Says, "I'm Georgia!"
Member support is testimony to the proud alumni family and tradition of excellence that is the University of Georgia. Only 10% of the University's total alumni are active members, which is well below the participation rates of schools like the University of Florida, University of South Carolina, and Auburn University.
Invest in your memories, your degree and your alma mater by joining the UGA Alumni Association today and show the world there is no better way to say, "I'm Georgia!"
Study Abroad Fellowship
Membership support allows the Association to continue building its endowment used to create scholarships and fellowships for deserving students. Katie Robert, who is currently attending the University of Sussex Exchange Program, is the Association's current Study Abroad Fellowship recipient. For more on Katie's arrival and her arrival and adjustment to England, click here.

Curtis Beall '47
When the Bulldogs ran onto the field at the 2007 Homecoming Game, few realized that an 85-year-old Marine combat Veteran of World War II was one of the alumni cheerleaders leading the pack.
Growing up in a small town near Dublin, Ga. Beall came to the University in 1941. His studies were interrupted in 1943 when he received orders from the U.S. Marine corps to report for duty.
After three and a half years spent in the South Pacific, he finally returned to UGA and received his degree in 1947. Those three and a half years in the South Pacific were filled with excitement, fear, combat and leadership. He was a valiant leader in the fight that captured Okinawa. He was wounded and received the Purple Heart.
