A portrait of Louis Sohn, Jr. '40 Former President of the Georgia Alumni Society from 1989 until 1991, was presented to the Alumni Association on November 21, 2003 by the Sohn Family. It now hangs in the Alumni Association's Wray-Nicholson House headquarters.

The UGA Alumni Association and the Department of Student Activities proudly announce "UGA night at Six Flags Over Georgia." Mark your calendar for Friday, April 2, 2004. From 6:00 pm to Midnight, Six Flags will be open exclusively to UGA students, alumni, faculty, staff and friends! Ticket cost is $20 per person, and parking is free! So many good things are happening within the UGA Alumni Association.

The Alumni Association's Annual Holiday Open House drew a great crowd of local alumni, faculty and friends as they mingled with Kringle (the infamous Claude McBride '55) and enjoyed delicious food, fellowship and holiday cheer. On December 16, the UGA Alumni Association presented our Athens local Salvation Army with a van load (couldn't find a sleigh) of Christmas toys for under privileged children thanks to the generous gifts donated from Open House attendees.

In honor of the UGA's Marine Institute 50th Anniversary, the UGA Alumni Association represented by board member Bob Kuhn '67 of Jacksonville, Florida, presented the Institute Acting Director Dr. Steve Newell, with a proclamation recognizing the Marine Institute's contribution to the ecological system of the state of Georgia and the United States.
